Research Review Day - October 20, 2011

Research Review Day 2011 will highlight some of the groundbreaking research that is being pursued at the Baskin School of Engineering. The program is divided into three focus areas -- Gaming, Genomics (Personal Health), and Network Science -- in order to give you a broad view of the exciting research that is being undertaken as we develop technology for a changing world. We have allowed ample time for discussion and hope you will find the day stimulating and rewarding.

Registration

There is no registration fee. However, all attendees must register to attend the event (please go to the registration site).

PRE-REGISTRATION CLOSES AT 4:00 PM ON OCTOBER 19TH. REGISTRATION WILL BE AVAILABLE ON-SITE ON OCTOBER 20TH AT THE EVENT SITE.

Parking -- Please Read Carefully

$6 for parking permit (permit required to park on campus). Permits may be pre-paid or purchased on-site. Permits will NOT be mailed prior to the event but will be available for pick-up or purchase from the attendant on the 3rd floor of Core West Parking Structure. If you arrive at 2:00 or later, stop at the Information Kiosk at the base of campus where you can purchase a permit. If you pre-paid, you will be able to pick up your permit there.

Lunch

$10 for lunch (all-you-can-eat pizza, salad, drink, cookies) - optional. You may bring your brown bag lunch or purchase food from other close-in locations (PERK coffee or food truck).

Directions

• Follow the Directions to the Baskin School of Engineering at UC Santa Cruz.
• Once on campus, park at the Core West Parking Structure. A parking attendant will be on duty and will issue permits for parking on the top floor. An elevator is available to take you down to the street level.  Parking permits are available to purchase if you did not pre-pay.  Late arrivals (11:15 or later) may purchase permits or receive their pre-paid permit at the Information Kiosk at the base of campus (main campus entrance).
• After parking, you can follow these instructions to get from the parking structure to the courtyard.
